Wow, you put my techno-nerd cred to shame. Nice overhaul of the site. And kudos on the bold pro-Powerpoint stance! For a tool that typically is used to spew out the most painfully mundane presentations, I have to admit the ones you posted are awesome. I mean, "hot."

Re: Extreme Powerpoint Makeover/ Guest Appearance

Hey, T! You're right - you have revamped your website! Oh! I was fortunate enough to be the moderator for Ngoc's senior project. Her presentation was wonderful - her Powerpoint was organized with powerful visuals that helped to keep her on track for almost fifteen minutes! Tinashe, thanks for your help with our seniors and their projects! Ngoc, congratulations on a fantastic presentation! We'll be looking forward to it.

Re: Congratulations!

Graduation was great. It's such a pity that you won't be able to wear a robe and walk in the procession with us during our graduation. However, we will still love you and appreciate what you did for us. We still expect to see your face at our graduation next year!

This has been an awesome year. I have lots of fun and I learn a lot this year. You have prepared me better for the AP Statistics. Without your guidance I don't think I would have done as well on the exam. You are a very fun and glowing one of a kind teacher. I wish you good luck and health in the coming years.
Sincerely,
your student

Those were some awesome presentations! Especially the slide about "The Steps." LOL! This year was amazing and I learned a lot of statistics. I have never really thought about the statistics that are presented in advertisements and such, but now, it is a habit of me to be skeptical about all the stats that are presented. Advertisers are really sneaky and it is up to the viewer to know what to believe and what not to believe. Thank you for all the knowledge you have given me. It will definitely stay with me for the rest of my life! Take care...Tina Baby...

Re: two of three (short and sweet)

Slide:ology changed the way I thought about the powerpoint and the features it offered. When Mrs. Blanchet talked about slide:ology I almost thought it was impossible to be able to make a presentation that great. After Mrs. Blanchet's help, I was able to make a "smokin' hot" presentation. Simplicity, I learned, was key to making a good presentation.

thanks!

Re: two of three (short and sweet)

While making our slides "hot" makes everything look better, it also makes the time to make these PowerPoints longer. If we had some more time to work with the Slide:ology stuff, we probably could've made even better presentations.

Re: two of three (short and sweet)

Slide:ology has really helped me to amaze my audience by my powerpoint. Mrs. Blanchet's workshop really opened my eyes to all the different wonders of Microsoft Powerpoint that I knew existed, but I wasn't really sure how to use them to make my powerpoint, in the words of Mrs. Blanchet, HOT. Thank you Mrs. Blanchet! :)

Re: two of three (short and sweet)

AFter the workshop my idea about powerpoint change. I'm glad I learned new ways to do powerpoint. I really enjoyed making a "hot" powerpoint. :)

Re: two of three (short and sweet)

Slide:ology made a significant difference in the level of productivity and interest in the Senior Project Panel. The main comment heard from judges was that students needed more practice with the technology. According to my new philosophy, "It's never too late!" so hopefully the lesson was learned and more preparation will precede the next big event - graduation.

Re: why use rss?

RSS is so freakishly awesome. I won't have to spend my time going to my favorite blogs reading the post; I could just do it in one site. I like it for this project because I don't have to go to the seven different sites to read all their posts. Thank you Ms. Blanchet for showing me how to do a rss feed.

Re: why use rss?

RSS feed is a good idea because it takes forever to go to individual URLs but with this awesome tool, you can be at one place and check out a variety of things that interest you. It's like Wal-Mart -- a one stop shop for all your needs, rather than going to a different store for grocery shopping and another store for houseware, etc.

Re: why use rss?

Wow!
